What to do the minute you find a leak

Water damage gets expensive fast, and most of that cost comes from the first hour. A few quick moves can keep a small leak from becoming a big one.

First, stop the water

Turn off the shutoff valve under the fixture if there is one. If the leak is bigger or you cannot find it, shut off the main water valve. Everyone in the house should know where that is.

Then limit the damage

Move belongings out of the way, soak up standing water with towels, and take a few photos for your records. Then call us. We will give you a flat price before we start any work.
